Based on a concept, presented by Hyundai Motor Group at CES 2017, the Korean manufacturer developed a proposal for an electric scooter type scooter. The new model, which includes colorful front and rear lights, is animated with a high capacity lithium battery that allows it to reach a maximum speed of 20 km /h.
Hyundai proposes that this type of devices be part of the equipment onboard the future electric models of the brand, to facilitate the mobility of users in the “first and last mile” of its route. Inside the vehicle, the skateboard is automatically charged using the electricity produced while driving, thus ensuring that the user can always use it to complete his trip.
The initial concept was front-wheel drive, but one of the novelties of the final version is that the traction is rear. Depending on the brand, this feature is key to improving safety and stability since the greatest weight located in the back; at the same time, a suspension adapted on the front wheel that makes driving more comfortable and smooth, even on uneven terrain.
The latest version of the Hyundai Motor Group electric scooter has a lithium battery of 10.5 Ah, which allows a range of 20 kilometers. With a weight of just 7.7 kilos and its exclusive design, which allows it to fold into three parts, it is much more compact and lighter than other similar products.
The scooter skateboard has two front and two rear minibars of 5202 led bulb type to favor its use in the night driving, as well as a digital display that shows the speed and state of charge. In the future, the brand plans to install a regenerative braking system to increase its reach by 7%.
